Poised, meaning to have a composed and self-assured manner, refers to how we approach our editorial presence. Our presence on campus may be new, but we know who we are and where we are going.

Poise&Ivy Magazine, Brown University’s first student-led lifestyle magazine established in 2025 by our editor-in-chief, Vanya Noel '25.5! Poise&Ivy Magazine intends to create a picture the vibrant and diverse experiences of life at Brown, offering everything from fashion and wellness to campus culture and creative expression.

Brown is a place where students can take a variety of paths and live completely different lives within the same two mile radius. We are concerned with capturing the experiences of each and every one of the student body as we grow and expand our editorial presence.

Whether you’re a writer, designer, photographer, or simply passionate about sharing the student perspective, Poise&Ivy is the perfect space for you to collaborate and showcase your talents.  If you have a story or an op-ed you'd like to write as a one-off, we'd love to here from you.
